Crystal Palace interested in Ante Rebic

Crystal Palace have expressed an interest in signing Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Eagles are understood to be on the lookout for attacking inspiration in the January transfer window after failing to convince in front of goal so far this season.

Roy Hodgson’s men missed out on a deal to sign Dominic Solanke from Liverpool on loan recently and on Tuesday allowed Alexander Sorloth to join KAA Gent until the end of the season.

This has led them to explore options from across Europe, according to Sky Sports, with Croatian international Rebic understood to be the subject of interest.

Numerous striking candidates are claimed to have been assessed, but the Eagles are believed to be exploring the possibility of landing the Frankfurt star.

The 25-year-old made six appearances for his country as they reached the World Cup final during the summer, scoring in their demolition of Argentina in the group stages.

Rebic has been performing well in front of goal domestically, too, and is an important player for Adi Hutter’s side. From 12 Bundesliga games, he has found the net on five occasions and has contributed with two assists.
