Crystal Palace are interested in Sao Paulo goalkeeper Lucas Perri, according to Tuttomercatoweb, via Sport Witness.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper has attracted the interest of the Premier League side, with Fiorentina and Sampdoria also very keen to land the youngster.

Fiorentina have reportedly launched a bid to sign the player in a deal worth €2.5m. Perri is contracted at the Brazilian club until the summer of 2022, after signing an extension contract last summer.

The report claims that Roy Hodgson’s men are ‘looking to bring Perri to England’ and that this is the most likely outcome at the moment. It also states that Crystal Palace have made some kind of offer, although details of this are not elaborated on.

If the deal to bring Perri to Selhurst Park is successful, it is likely that he will be back up to Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey – and the replacement for the ageing club legend Julian Speroni, who is reaching the latter stages of his career.
