Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson discussed the condition of Vicente Guaita following his injury against Watford at the weekend.
The Spaniard started in goal against the Hornets but was forced off during the match with a calf injury. Wales international Wayne Hennessey came on to replace him.
Speaking after the 2-1 defeat at Selhurst Park, Eagles manager Roy Hodgson was unsure over the extent of Guaita’s injury. As quoted by Football London, the boss said:
We don’t know yet but it’s a muscle injury to his calf and will have to be assessed. It was obviously bad enough that he couldn’t continue. How bad an injury it is we won’t know until he’s had the scan. It’s a definite muscle injury, it wasn’t cramp or a kick.

Palace will be desperately keen to have their first-choice goalkeeper available in the immediate future as they gear up for a testing trip to Anfield to face league-leaders Liverpool.
Following his summer arrival in South London, Guaita has impressed and has endeared himself to the club’s faithful with some impressive performances between the sticks.
However, it seems the Eagles could be forced to field Hennessey against Jurgen Klopp’s team at the weekend, with their number one’s condition unknown.
