Crystal Palace midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is doubtful to face West Ham United on Saturday, according to a report on Football London.
The midfielder injured his ankle in the 1-1 draw against Southampton and was forced to miss the impressive 2-0 victory over Fulham last weekend.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson had hoped that Kouyate would only miss one game, but it is likely that he will be unavailable once again for the Eagles.
The former West Ham midfielder was getting a good amount of first team action before the injury and it is a blow to his personal development at the club.
Although he has not yet been definitely ruled out of the fixture, Hodgson will want to be careful not to rush him back into action as that could risk aggravating the injury.
The Eagles are currently four points away from the relegation zone and know that a victory will begin to ease the threat of relegation.
