Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that James Tomkins and Cheikhou Kouyate have both been ruled out of tomorrow’s clash with West Ham United.

As reported on the official club website, both players were hopeful to be fit in time for the Premier League match at Selhurst Park.

However, they could not recover quick enough and will be forced to watch the game against their former club from the stands.

Tomkins has been struggling with a calf strain whilst Kouyate has an ankle problem that he picked up in the 1-1 draw against Southampton last month.

Hodgson also confirmed that three other players are also definitely ruled out. He said:

Cheikhou Kouyate still hasn’t recovered so he’s not available. Julian Speroni, unfortunately, picked up a minor injury a few days ago so he’s not up for selection.

Pape Souare has had a long term injury as has Connor Wickham. The other injury news unfortunately for us is James Tomkins, who’s been struggling with a calf strain.
