Despite a decent fightback in the second half, Roy Hodgson’s side fell to defeat with goals either side of half time from Romelu Lukaku. Joel Ward netted Palace’s only goal midway through the second half, but United sealed the win when Ashley Young burst into the box to shatter any Palace comeback.
