Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.
According to The Mirror, Leverkusen are now interested in a deal to bring Mitrovic over to Germany ahead of next season.
The report claims that West Ham and Crystal Palace are both keen on offering Mitrovic a second chance in the Premier League following Fulham’s relegation back down to the Championship this year.
Despite Fulham finishing 19th in the table, Mitrovic managed to impress in the Premier League. The forward found the back of the net 11 times for Fulham and caught the eye with his hold-up play.
Fulham are said to be demanding £30m for the striker, but are bracing themselves for his potential departure as they weigh up a move for former Palace striker Dwight Gayle – who scored 23 goals for West Brom in the Championship last season.
Strikers Palace could sign
After a good spell on loan at Selhurst Park, Palace could look to bring back Batshuayi on a permanent deal.
The French forward scored an impressive 28 goals for Brentford in all competitions and has been linked with a move to Palace.
The talented English striker would be a superb signing for Palace. The youngster scored 22 goals for Birmingham and is a natural finisher.
Austin looks to be out of favour at Southampton but could thrive in a change of scenery at Palace next season. A born goalscorer, he knows how to find the back of the net.
