Juventus are thought to be keen on rivalling Manchester United in the race to land Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, according to Italian outlet Corriere Torino, relayed in an article by Sport Witness.
The report claims that new Juve boss, Maurizio Sarri, has identified Wan-Bissaka as a possible replacement for Joao Cancelo, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin this summer.
The right-back, who is currently away with England at the Under-21 European Championships, has been heavily tipped to depart Selhurst Park following his impressive individual campaign under Roy Hodgson.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are reportedly edging closer to signing the highly-rated youngster after agreeing a £55m fee with the Eagles for the player.
However, the latest reports are predicting that the Italian giants may spring a surprise move for Wan-Bissaka, with Juventus’ sporting director, Fabio Paratici, tracking the youngster in previous months.
Palace fans will be hoping that the two interested parties are involved in a lengthy bidding war for the youngster if they do end up selling, which would then provide Hodgson with plenty of funds to bring in fresh faces for the new campaign.
Who could Palace possibly target to replace Wan-Bissaka?
Chelsea’s James may be a realistic option for the Eagles this summer, however, Palace may only be allowed to sign the highly-rated youngster on a season-long loan.
Tottenham’s Walker-Peters could prove to be a shrewd signing by Hodgson, and Palace may even be able to tempt Spurs into selling the player on a permanent basis.
Another young option, Derby County’s Bogle has been tipped for Premier League football following an impressive campaign under Frank Lampard. The teenager could be tempted over a move to Selhurst Park to fill the void possible left by Wan-Bisska.
Southampton’s Soares appears to be out of favour under Ralph Hasenhuttl and could be a relatively cheap option who has plenty of Premier League experience.
