According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace have opened talks with Liverpool over a potential double deal to sign Nathaniel Clyne and Simon Mignolet.

As Sky Sports reported earlier this week, 21-year-old defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be leaving for Manchester United for a staggering £50 million.

Palace will be in need of a new starting right-back this summer and Clyne appears to be an option for the Eagles.

Clyne was loaned out to Bournemouth in the second half of last season due to the lack of first-team football on offer at Liverpool.

The 28-year-old was decent during his 14 league games for the Cherries though he only registered one assist. Clyne is a quality player on his day as shown in his spell at Southampton and for £12 million, it could be considered an absolute bargain in this current market.

Another player that Palace are reportedly interested in is 31-year-old keeper Simon Mignolet.

Mignolet was sidelined to the bench for the majority of last season due to the signing of Brazil’s No 1 Alisson Becker.

The Belgian could be seeking a move this summer in search of regular first-team football as he only appeared twice for the Reds last season.
