Crystal Palace are reportedly considered as favourites to sign AC Milan striker Fabio Borini this summer, after he was told he has no future at the club.
The Eagles’ attacking threat may be diminished if Wilfried Zaha completes a move away from Selhurst Park and will be on the lookout for reinforcements.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, cited by Ghana Soccernet, Palace have been joined by newly-promoted Premier League side Aston Villa in their interest.
However, the source adds that they are favourites to sign the 28-year-old if they do launch a pursuit.
Borini has plenty of Premier League experience with Chelsea, Liverpool and Sunderland, as well as featuring for Swansea City in the Championship.
New Milan manager Marco Giampaolo has told him he isn’t a part of his plans for the upcoming season, so a departure seems likely at this point.
Whether his destination will be South London remains to be seen.
