Crystal Palace are eyeing up Nathaniel Clyne as Aaron Wan Bissaka’s replacement this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

Wan Bissaka has joined Manchester United in a big-money deal, leaving a void in Palace’s back-line.

A strong replacement is required and former Eagles man Clyne is reportedly the primary target in this transfer window.

The 28-year-old has fallen out of favour at Liverpool, spending the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth.

Although there are rumours suggesting the Reds are happy to keep hold of him, they are also expected to sell if the right offer comes along.

Clyne would bring a wealth of experience and defensive nous to Palace’s team, although his recent injury record would make it a potentially risky signing.

The right-back started his career at Selhurst Park, making 137 appearances between 2008 and 2012.

He has also worked with Roy Hodgson before, during the Palace manager’s stint as England boss.

Would Clyne be the perfect successor to Wan-Bissaka?
