Crystal Palace have reportedly launched a bid to sign Lille defender Adama Soumaoro this summer.
According to reports in France from La Voix du Nord, Palace have put a €14 million offer on the table for the player.
Keen to strengthen defensively this summer, Roy Hodgson has turned his attention to the French-born defender.
After impressing in Ligue 1, with Lille finishing second behind winners Paris Saint-Germain, Soumaoro has been linked with moves away from the club this summer.
An unnamed German club are also reportedly in the running to sign the Lille captain.
Any potential deal will be tough to complete, with Lille understandably keen to keep hold of the player, in a summer where they also look set to lose Nicolas Pepe as well.
