Crystal Palace are ready to step up their interest in Brentford’s Ollie Watkins with a cash-plus-player offer.
According to the Daily Mail, Roy Hodgson’s side are prepared to offer Alexander Sorloth in return, as well as a cash offer in order to get a deal over the line.
Watkins has been heavily linked with moves to Palace in the past and after impressing in the Championship, he looks ready to make the step up into the Premier League.
On the other hand, Sorloth has failed to impress since arriving at Palace and his long-term future appears to be away from Selhurst Park.
It remains to be seen if Sorloth would be interested in a move to join Brentford in the Championship, while wages could also prove to be a stumbling block for the player.
However, those behind the scenes at Brentford will know all about Sorloth from his time at FC Midtjylland, who share the same owners as the Championship side.
