Crystal Palace look set to miss out on a deal for Victor Camarasa following reports that the Spaniard isn’t keen on a return to the Premier League, according to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, cited by Sport Witness.

The report suggests that a Palace representative had travelled to Spain to speak to Real Betis about a possible move for the player, however, the La Liga side are in no real rush to sell the midfielder, who doesn’t want to move back to the Premier League.

Camarasa spent the season on loan with Cardiff last season and played a vital role in their Premier League campaign, playing 32 matches, scoring five and assisting four.

His great form has caught the eye of multiple suitors, including Palace’s Premier League rivals Tottenham and West Ham.

The recent news will come as a blow to Palace, who are crying out for a playmaker in the middle of the pitch ahead of the new season.

There is only a week left in this summer transfer window, so the side will need to act fast if they are wanting to add more talent and depth.

Palace representatives are still thought to be out in Spain talking to various sides, however, the report doesn’t state as to what clubs and players are of interest to the Eagles.
