Premier League side Crystal Palace have been ‘pulsing repeatedly’ for Trabzonspor to return striker Alexander Sorloth, but have received negative responses from the Super Lig side, according to a report on Aksam.
Palace decided to let the forward join the Turkish side on a two-season loan deal last summer, with an option to buy him at the end of the loan for €6m.
The Eagles decided not to include a recall clause in the loan deal and after his terrific form this season, the report claims that Palace are massively regretting their decision.
Various clubs are now interested in the forward, including Aston Villa and French side AS Monaco.

Sorloth is in prolific form and has scored 21 times in all competitions this season, so it’s no wonder that the report states that Palace are hitting their heads on the wall regarding their decision to let him go in such circumstances.
We believe that this could be one of the biggest mistakes the club has made in the transfer market in recent years because Trabzonspor are now likely to make a healthy profit if they decide to sell him.
We understand that Sorloth was woeful during his spell at Selhurst Park but now that he has gained some confidence in front of goal, he looks like a clinical centre-forward, something that Hodgson is desperate for.
We believe there’s no point for Palace trying to convince Trabzonspor to send him back because they’re now preparing to include a huge €48m release clause in his contract after securing him on a permanent basis.
We feel that if he was given some more time and chances, then he could have turned out to be a good striker for the Eagles.
