Daichi Kamada’s Crystal Palace future has taken on fresh urgency after fresh Serie A interest emerged around the Japan international.
Reports relayed by OneFootball, via Football Italia, claim AC Milan and Fiorentina have made enquiries over Kamada as a possible free-transfer opportunity.
The timing matters: Palace’s retained list confirmed he had been offered a new deal, but the situation has not yet been publicly resolved.
ReadCrystalPalace reported on Wednesday that Kamada is understood to want to stay in south London, but outside interest changes the leverage around the table. Milan can offer Champions League pedigree, while Fiorentina know the player well after Palace’s European meetings last season.
Milan and Fiorentina are both reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Crystal Palace midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer.
Pierre Sage Faces A Fast Midfield Decision
For Pierre Sage, the call is not only sentimental. Kamada is an experienced, tactically flexible midfielder who can operate between the lines, help manage European fixtures and reduce pressure on Adam Wharton, Jefferson Lerma and Cheick Doucoure across a heavier 2026/27 schedule.
Palace should not overpay purely to beat Italian interest. But if Sage wants continuity while reshaping the squad, allowing Kamada’s contract to drift would invite a needless market problem before pre-season has properly started.
