Crystal Palace are exploring a move for Trevoh Chalobah as the Eagles search for a replacement for Maxence Lacroix
. Palace have discussed the Chelsea defender’s availability, although Como remain in the race for his signature.
Chalobah previously impressed during a loan spell at Selhurst Park in the first half of the 2024/25 season. Chelsea recalled him in January, but the 27-year-old is now expected to leave Stamford Bridge permanently.
Palace reportedly raised his name during negotiations which took Lacroix in the opposite direction. A swap agreement was not considered, leaving the two potential transfers to be handled separately.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Palace have held talks with Chelsea over a possible deal.
Como have already submitted two proposals for the England international. Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea rejected their latest package of €25million plus €5million in achievable bonuses and want more than €30million.
The Italian club are now considering alternatives, potentially giving Palace an opportunity to make their own proposal.
Chalobah already knows the club, his former teammates and the demands of Premier League football. Staying in England may also appeal as he attempts to retain his place in Thomas Tuchel’s national-team plans.
However, Palace are advancing with other defensive targets. ReadCrystalPalace reported on Sunday that Chrislain Matsima has agreed personal terms after the Eagles submitted an improved €25million offer to Augsburg.
A Crystal Palace move for Trevoh Chalobah therefore depends on price and the outcome of the Matsima negotiations. His previous Palace spell makes him an attractive option, but no formal bid has been reported.
