Dean Henderson is expected to sign a new Crystal Palace contract and remain Pierre Sage’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The contract could be agreed shortly, although the Eagles may reconsider their position if an exceptional offer arrives before the transfer window closes.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, Palace intend to reward Henderson and enter the new season with the England international as their number one.
Henderson’s current agreement runs until June 2028. A renewal would remove any uncertainty and reflect his growing importance at Selhurst Park. He has also taken on greater responsibility since becoming club captain.
The 29-year-old attracted interest earlier in the window, but Palace have shown no desire to actively invite offers.

ReadCrystalPalace previously reported that Chelsea had enquired about signing Henderson. Aston Villa were also linked as they considered possible changes in goal.
Nixon’s update suggests Palace are planning for Henderson to stay unless a proposal arrives which is too valuable to reject.
Walter Benítez provides experienced competition after joining from PSV Eindhoven. However, Henderson remained Palace’s established Premier League number one and recorded 17 clean sheets across all competitions last season.
His leadership also carries greater value following changes elsewhere in the squad. Palace have already lost important senior figures this year, increasing the need to retain players who understand the club and its supporters.
The Dean Henderson Crystal Palace contract is not yet confirmed. However, an agreement would secure the captain’s future and give Sage certainty in one of the most important positions ahead of his first competitive campaign.
