Crystal Palace have been dealt an injury blow after midfielder Mile Jedinak suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
This is according to his national team manager Ange Postecoglu who, speaking at a recent press conference ahead of Australia’s World Cup qualifier against Jordan on October 8th, says the Palace man has seen his condition deteriorate. The Socceroos man was not on the bench in The Eagles’ recent 1-0 loss at Tottenham on Sunday.
He picked up his initial hamstring problem back in August in Palace’s convincing 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup.
Australia’s two earlier wins on the international stage have been won without the midfielder in victories over both Bangladesh and Tajikistan as his condition has worsened.

And Postecoglu told the press that he will not call Jedinak up for the upcoming international games:
“At a stretch he might have made this (training) camp, but because he’s had that setback maybe that’s too early.”
“I think it’s wise for us to make sure Mile’s 100 per cent and right for the November games.”
This is bad news for Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew as it looks likely that the Australian is set to miss the Eagles’ next three encounters, which consist of games against Charlton Athletic in the League Cup on Wednesday evening, as well as top-flight matches against Watford and West Brom.
He is not the only player in red and blue likely to miss out this evening though, with defender Scott Dann and striker Connor Wickham, both recently sustaining calf injuries, unlikely to feature.
