Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak says that his “commitment” is to the Eagles this season, amid speculation linking him with a move away from South London.
The 32-year-old who joined the club from Turkish side Gençlerbirliği in 2011 is a target for Aston Villa who have reportedly placed a bid for the midfielder who has been an integral part of the side since arriving in South London.
Speaking ahead of the new Premier League season to Fox Sports Australia, Jedinak has spoken about the current speculation: “My commitment is to Palace, I’m a Palace player, I’ve not been told otherwise by anybody and until then you remain committed.
“At this time of the season there’s a lot of speculation but I just remain true to myself and keep my head down and not remain muddled with anything. Just keep a clear head and get on with the job.”

Jedinak was stripped of captaincy of the club last week and has since been replaced by Scott Dann, another player who is seen as a leader among the players and staff at Crystal Palace. Ahead of the opening weekend of the Premier League which sees the Eagles host West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park, Jedinak has also spoken out about the captaincy.
“I was surprised, obviously. When you do a job with full commitment, it’s never nice.
“You give your all to the task and hopefully that’s enough but sometimes things get taken out of your hands and one way or another you have to accept it and get on with it and focus on the task at hand.”
