Crystal Palace have continued their Portuguese scouting mission by watching FC Porto’s Champions League clash against Galatasaray this week.

According to A Bola, as cited on Sport Witness, Palace had scouts watching the Champions League clash just days after keeping a close eye on their game against Tondela.

The Premier League side appear to have their eyes on a Porto player and Sport Witness hint that it could be Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera.

Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from several European clubs.

Tottenham and Arsenal have both been linked with a move to sign the player in the past.

The player will be free to discuss a summer move in the new year, but Porto could decide to cash in on him to avoid losing the player for nothing.

It is unclear at this stage who the club were watching, but having scouts present at two Porto games suggest somebody has caught their eye.
