Palace scouts in Portugal to take in Sporting clash
Crystal Palace had scouts in Portugal over the weekend as they plan their summer transfer deals.
According to local reports from both Record and O Jogo, as cited on Sport Witness, Palace were among the teams watching Sporting’s game against Boavista.
Unfortunately, it remains unclear at this stage who exactly the club were watching, but it is not the first time that scouts have been seen in Portugal.
It is clear to see that whoever the club do have their eye on, Portugal is certainly an avenue they’re exploring in their search for a potential bargain.
With the club now edging ever closer to Premier League safety this season, attention will soon turn to what the club can do over the summer.
While the future of Wilfried Zaha remains unclear, Roy Hodgson will be eager to strengthen his squad to ensure that the club are not looking over their shoulder again next season.
