Palace eyeing loan deal for Reece James
Crystal Palace are eyeing up a loan deal to sign Chelsea defender Reece James next season.
According to The Daily Mail, Palace are interested in signing James on loan to strengthen their squad for the next campaign.
The report claims that fellow Premier League side Brighton are also keen on James, as they also look to land him on loan.
Chelsea, however, are said to be considering whether or not to send him out on loan abroad to further his development.
James finished his loan spell at Wigan last weekend, captaining the side on his final appearance for the Championship outfit.
The teenager played in 45 of their 46 league games, scoring three and assisting three from various positions.
He started the season at right-back, but ended the campaign playing in a holding midfield role – impressing in both. He was named in the Championship Team of the Season, despite Wigan’s poor league finish.
