- Will Lankshear linked to Palace
- Scored 12 goals for relegated Oxford
- Spurs not wanting to sell
Crystal Palace are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur academy striker Will Lankshear on loan ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The 21-year-old has thrived despite Oxford United’s struggles in the Championship, and is attracting huge amounts of interest as the Summer window approaches.
According to Ekrem Konur at SportsBoom, Lankshear is most likely to go back on loan this Summer, after Oxford were relegated to League One. A multi-month long relegation battle came to a disappointing end when Oxford lost key games at important points.
However, the one positive for them was Tottenham loanee Lankshear. The attention surrounding the young striker shows just how impressive he was, and whilst his teammates from this season will be on their way to League One, Lankshear will at the very least be sticking around in the second tier.
It’s reported that Crystal Palace have enquired about the possibilities of a loan move ahead of next season, as the South London club look to bolster their striker options.

Lankshear attracting interest
Whilst his market valuation is continuing to rise with the consistency in his performances, Spurs are not wanting to sell him just yet, therefore making a loan move a likely outcome.
There are a whole host of clubs in both the Championship and Premier League interested in Lankshear’s services.
However, Palace are not the only side interested.
Both Middlesbrough and Millwall are keen, with both sides currently involved in the second tier’s play offs. Ipswich won promotion to the Premier League by finishing second place, and they too are showing some interest in Lankshear’s services.
‘Top drawer’ goalscorer
Lankshear has just finished his campaign with Oxford United, and whilst the U’s were relegated to League One, finishing 22nd, the Spurs youngster impressed.
In 47 games for Oxford, Lankshear scored twelve goals and registered two assists, playing over 3,000 minutes this season.
It was only his second loan move, after he struggled to settle at West Brom. The season before that move, Lankshear tore the Premier League 2 apart, scoring 23 goals in 23 games.
During his time in the West Midlands, Lankshear was described as being ‘top drawer’, despite struggling for form in front of goal.
There is clearly a huge amount of talent there, and Tottenham’s reluctance to let him leave on a permanent deal is a clear sign of this.
He is clearly rated very highly by the North London club, and whilst there are many sides interested in Lankshear’s signature, Palace may be able to lure him South of the river using their stature and fame for developing young talents.
