Daichi Kamada Wants Crystal Palace Stay As Pierre Sage Gets Contract Boost

Daichi Kamada has given Crystal Palace a timely stay signal as the club work to secure one of Pierre Sage’s most useful midfield pieces.

Soccer Digest Web reported on July 1 that Kamada wants to remain in the Premier League and, in principle, wants to stay at Palace after Japan’s World Cup exit to Brazil. The 29-year-old pointed to Premier League football, European competition, London and a settled family environment as major reasons to continue at Selhurst Park.

The timing matters. Crystal Palace’s official profile records Kamada joining the club on July 1, 2024, while the Premier League confirmed at the time that he had agreed a two-year deal. That means his contract status has become an immediate summer issue.

Kamada Gives Palace A Contract Lift

Palace had already made their stance clear. ReadCrystalPalace previously covered how the club offered Daichi Kamada a new contract after confirming their retained and released list for the 2026/27 campaign.

That gives Sage a retention boost at a point when Palace are already managing major interest in other senior assets. Keeping Kamada would protect tactical continuity without forcing the club into another expensive midfield search.

ReadCrystalPalace has also assessed how Kamada’s Japan exit could still sharpen his Palace return under Sage. His latest comments now turn that footballing value into a clearer contract signal.

For Palace, the message is direct: resolve the deal quickly, keep the midfield intelligence in place and let Sage begin pre-season with one less senior uncertainty.
