Daichi Kamada Agrees New Crystal Palace Contract Until 2027

Daichi Kamada has reportedly agreed a new one-year contract at Crystal Palace, keeping him at Selhurst Park until June 2027.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Kamada has agreed to sign fresh terms, with the deal now “all done” and expected to be sealed within the next 24 hours.

The agreement would give Pierre Sage a useful piece of midfield continuity before pre-season. Kamada’s previous deal expired this summer, but Palace had already offered the Japan international a new contract.

ReadCrystalPalace has covered the situation closely, including why Kamada’s stay signal gave Palace an important contract lift as Sage began shaping his squad.

Palace Keep Experienced Midfield Option

Kamada’s future has been live since the end of last season. Palace’s retained list confirmed he had been offered fresh terms, while interest from elsewhere kept the situation open.

ReadCrystalPalace also reported how Serie A interest in Kamada added pressure to Palace’s contract talks, with AC Milan and Fiorentina credited with enquiries.

Keeping Kamada would avoid another midfield gap at a key point in the summer. Palace are preparing for European football under a new manager, so experience and tactical flexibility carry extra value.

Kamada offers both. He can play between the lines, help connect midfield to attack and bring European experience to a squad facing a heavier schedule.

The deal is not yet officially announced by Palace. Romano’s update suggests only the final formalities remain.

For Sage, it is still a useful early step. Palace need signings, but keeping trusted senior players can be just as important before the new season starts.
