Crystal Palace are continuing to monitor Brazilian midfielders Andre Luiz and Danilo Santos as they assess options for a position they believe needs strengthening.
The two players have attracted attention from the Eagles, with Crystal Palace head scout in the Americas Alessandro Brito playing a key role in tracking their progress.
According to ESPN Brazil via Sport Witness, Brito confirmed that both midfielders remain on Palace’s wider monitoring list. However, he made it clear that there have been no negotiations for either player.

Brito was asked whether talks had taken place over Andre and Danilo but quickly dismissed the suggestion that negotiations had reached that stage.
“No, they didn’t get to the point of happening,” Brito said.
That does not mean Crystal Palace have ended their interest. Instead, both players remain under observation as the club continues to assess potential options for the midfield position.
“They remain under our monitoring,” Brito said. “There is a need for us in that position, so we’ve been following some players who stand out there.
“They are, yes, on a broad monitoring list that we’ve been following game by game.”
Palace are continuing their scouting work in talent-rich Brazil while keeping track of some of the finest young players to address own transfer situations.
Andre and Danilo remain names on the club’s monitoring list and any steps further will be possible when the transfer window opens in January.
