According to reports in the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the bookies favourite to sign Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, fending off interest from Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
Dembele – who is not related to the Spurs midfielder with the same name – is weighing up his options as his current deal at the Championship club runs out in the summer, and is looking for bigger and better options before committing his future.
The report goes on to add that Mauricio Pochettino has been an admirer of the the 19-year-old, who has held talks with both Spurs and Manchester United.
It wasn’t reported that long ago that Alan Pardew’s side were interested in the Fulham star, but it seems as though that interest isn’t there anymore, and the Eagles are looking elsewhere.
According to odds at BetVictor, Crystal Palace are 6/1 to sign Dembele, with Spurs and Manchester United at 4/1 and 8/1 respectively.
