Wilfried Zaha has emerged as a potential target for Lazio, with the Serie A club reportedly keeping an eye on the experienced winger.
Wilfried Zaha is currently a free agent after his Galatasaray contract expired during the summer. According to reports by Italian media, Lazio are considering the 33-year-old alongside UAE side Al-Ain, although neither club has made a concrete approach yet.
The Ivorian remains available to assess his options, with Lazio understood to have room for another free-agent signing outside the transfer window.
Lazio monitoring former Crystal Palace star
Zaha’s career has taken him through several clubs since leaving Crystal Palace in 2023. He spent one season at Galatasaray before heading out on loan to Lyon and then MLS side Charlotte FC.
However, his most successful years came at Selhurst Park. Wilfried Zaha made 458 appearances for Palace across his two spells and scored 90 goals, establishing himself as one of the most recognisable players in the club’s history. His achievement was highlighted in our recent Crystal Palace Top 5 Premier League Appearance Makers.
He also spent a brief period at Manchester United, including a loan spell at Cardiff City, before returning to Palace and becoming a key figure for the Eagles.
Now, with his Galatasaray deal expired, Zaha could have another opportunity to continue his career in Europe.
Lazio are reportedly considering their options and have yet to make a formal approach. Zaha is also linked with a move to the Middle East while the Italian side continues to weigh up whether to bring the former Palace winger to Serie A.
Interest remains at a very early stage, but Lazio’s possible transfer ban may force them to move for the Ivorian winger. Zaha’s experience and availability could make him an attractive free-transfer option.
