Palace midfielder set to move to Championship

Young Welsh midfielder Jonny Williams looks set for another Championship loan move, with MK Dons said to be leading the charge to capture the 22-year-old’s signature.

Speaking with The Croydon Advertiser last week, Palace boss Alan Pardew admitted that it was likely that Williams would go out on loan again this season.

Williams started the season on loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest but was recalled to Selhurst Park due to injuries meaning that Pardew had to add depth to his depleted squad. Yet since being recalled from loan, Williams only featured for 10 minutes against Chelsea and it looks he will have to take loan opportunities if he wants regular first-team football.

According to the report by the Croydon Advertiser, MK Dons are said to be very interested in taking the young midfielder on a loan deal.

The Welshman is likely to be looking for regular first team opportunities as he hopes to go to Euro 2016 as part of Wales’ squad, so a loan to the Championship seems to be a logical move for him.
