Crystal Palace are pondering a move for West Ham defender James Collins.
It was reported in the Daily Mail recently that Eagles boss Sam Allardyce is considering making a move this month for his old companion, with Palace looking to bolster their defence.
Allardyce’s side have been leaking goals far too easily and frequently prior to the former England manager’s arrival in South London, and it looks as though he sees Collins as a possible solution to the defensive woes.
Palace are in some desperate need of inspiration and that could well come from experienced heads with a good knowledge of the Premier League and what it takes to survive at the very top; something that Collins could provide.
Hammers duo Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid are both ahead of the experienced centre-back in the pecking order at the club, so a move away from the London Stadium in January could be plausible.
