Manchester City have accepted an £18m bid from the Eagles for defender Eliaquim Mangala, according to the Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old who joined the Citizens in August 2014 has failed to make a single appearance for the Manchester side this season, having only featured on the bench.
According to earlier reports, Mangala had asked for time to consider the options available to him before making a decision, as he looks to regain a place in a starting XI.
The deal will also include a further £5m which will be based on appearances made by the Frenchman, with the report from the Daily Mail also reporting that Palace have met the £120,000 wage demands of the Manchester City player.
Crystal Palace had been pursuing the signing of Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho who Liverpool are looking to off-load for £30m, with the club having made a number of bids for the former Eagles loanee.
However, it seems as if Palace are looking further outwards to other targets, if they fail to secure the signature of their top target during this summer transfer window.
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Thursday evening with Palace expected to be busy ahead of the deadline, boosting up the squad after a winless start to the Premier League campaign.
