Roy Hodgson is set to sign a sign two year deal to become the new Crystal Palace manager, according to reports.

The 70-year-old will replace Frank de Boer, who was sacked after just four leageu games in charge, four games which Palace lost without scoring a goal.

Hodgson, who has been out of management since England decided not to renew his contract after their embarassing exit from Euro 2016 at the hands of Iceland.

The former Fulham, Liverpool and West Brom manager will take over a side that is in need of a boost after a very disapointing start to the season.

With the transfer window closed, Hodgson will have to work with the squad left to him by De Boer and the board will be hoping that he can get much more out of them than the Dutchman did.
