Crystal Palace are yet to table a formal offer for West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate, according to a report from Sky Sports.
The Eagles’ interest in the Senegal international has been well-documented in recent times and it’s believed that initial talks have already been held between the two clubs.
Kouyate has fallen out of favour at the London Stadium and if reports are to be believed, he will be allowed to leave the club if a reasonable bid is submitted this summer.
Palace are understood to be keen on potentially landing the powerful midfielder but as per Sky Sports’ report, the Eagles are holding off on lodging a bid at this moment in time.
Roy Hodgson’s side are on the lookout for a new central midfielder following the expiration of Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s loan deal at the club along with Yohan Cabaye’s departure.
Roma star Maxime Gonalons has been linked with a switch to Palace recently, along with West Ham man Kouyate.
