Three Championship teams are interested in signing former Crystal Palace winger Bakary Sako.
Sako’s contract expired at the end of last season and he failed to agree a new contract at Selhurst Park.
He was in talks to re-join Palace last month, but a deal could not be ironed out and he currently remains a free agent.
According to The Birmingham Mail, West Brom, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are all now eyeing up Sako to sign on a free.
The transfer window shut at the end of last month, but clubs are still able to sign players on a free transfer, as long as they left their previous club before the end of the last window.
Sako made 50 appearances for Palace in all competitions, scoring eight goals, after his move from Wolves.
He’d scored 38 goals in 124 matches for Wolves, where he was considered one of the best players in the Championship.
