Dominic Solanke completes a medical at Crystal Palace

Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has undergone a medical at Crystal Palace, ahead of his loan move to Selhurst Park.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who believe Solanke is now all but a Palace player.

The 21-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Eagles, with Roy Hodgson admitting that a deal was close to being done after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.

Palace are badly in need of attacking firepower, having scored just 17 goals in 20 Premier League games this season.

Solanke is a striker with huge potential, but his progress has been stunted in recent times.

The youngster has not appeared at all for Liverpool in 2018/19, failing to aid the Reds’ title push.

This is a move that should give him a new lease of life, however, with Gareth Southgate viewing him as an exciting prospect for England moving forward.

A deal looks set to be announced imminently, with all parties likely to benefit from it.

Solanke has scored eight goals in 15 matches for England’s U21 side.
