Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Kemar Roofe from Leeds United.
According to claims from Sky Sports, the Eagles have set their sights on a deal for the forward, who caught the eye in the Championship under Marcelo Bielsa last season.
Roofe was a key part of the Leeds side that came close to securing promotion, finishing third and proceeding to bow out of the play-offs in the semi-finals against Derby County.
The 26-year-old’s future at Elland Road is currently uncertain. Although contract talks have taken place, no agreement has yet been reached, with the ex-Oxford United man’s current deal expiring next year.
Roofe led the line well for Leeds, notching up 14 goals in the league for his side last term, and has evidently attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League.
Sky Sports reports that both Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in recruiting the dynamic front-man, with other Championship clubs also keen to bring him in this summer.
Other forwards who Palace could target
Iglesias was excellent for Espanyol last season. The Spanish striker would be a solid addition for Palace.
Weghorst enjoyed a strong campaign in Germany with Wolfsburg. The Netherlands international would provide an imposing physical presence.
Seferovic scored freely for Benfica in Portugal last season. The striker could be ready for a move to the Premier League.
Sturridge is available on a free transfer following his release from Liverpool. When fit, he is a reliable, proven Premier League goalscorer.
