- Palace produce more World Cup players than European giants
- Sixth most players going to the World Cup
- Palace likely to have a World Cup winner this Summer
Crystal Palace are sending the sixth most players to the World Cup of any club across the globe. 13 Palace players will jet off to the USA, Canada and Mexico to compete in this Summer’s tournament, which is more than a whole host of Europe’s biggest clubs.
After all 48 squads were officially finalised for the tournament, it’s confirmed that Palace will be sending more players to the 2026 World Cup than a whole host of clubs, including Los Blancos.
Only Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona are sending more players to the competition, with ten separate nations represented by South London’s biggest club.
The World Cup kicks off in just under a week, when Mexico plays hosts to South Africa.

Palace outmuscling European giants
Amongst the sides that Palace lead in the number of players sent to the World Cup are Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Eagles will also have more representation than Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
Palace are also ahead of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Al Hilal who each have twelve players attending.
It’s a huge achievement for the club, and also represents the progress the club have made in recent seasons.
On top of this, it can be used as a clear sign to potential signings that coming to South London can provide a superb platform to represent their country on the biggest stage. As has been seen with the likes of Ebere Eze, Michael Olise and Marc Guehi, Palace can also provide a springboard to Europe’s top clubs, making them an ideal destination for young players with exciting futures.
