Oliver Glasner has refused to comment on speculation linking him with the AC Milan job. The Austrian is set to decide his next club after leaving Crystal Palace.

Milan have reportedly made Glasner their top candidate to replace Massimiliano Allegri. He is thought to have held talks with the Italian giants over the San Siro role.

Glasner’s stock is high after delivering three major trophies during a two-and-a-half-year spell at Selhurst Park. His final act as manager saw him guide the Eagles to the UEFA Conference League.

“Never commented” – Glasner on his future

Glasner has been linked with several jobs since confirming his decision to leave Palace back in January. Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were among those considering the Austrian until turning to Roberto De Zerbi and Michael Carrick.

The 51-year-old has shed light on the situation and insisted he won’t disclose information regarding his next job. He said (via Palace Report):

“It’s great that, since I announced the end of my contract with Crystal Palace, the media has linked me with almost all clubs. I’ve never commented on these rumours, and I don’t want to now. When the time comes, I’ll announce it.”

Glasner took charge of Palace back in February 2024 and became the most successful manager in the club’s history. He oversaw an FA Cup triumph last year, a Community Shield win in this season’s curtain raiser and ended his reign with a European trophy.

A quick reunion?

Wherever Glasner ends up, he will forever have Palace fans’ support. If he is appointed Milan’s new boss, he could make a swift return to Selhurst Park as an opponent.

The Rossoneri are in the upcoming season’s Europa League along with the Eagles. He therefore could come up against his former employers.

Glasner would likely face Pierre Sage. He is set to be announced as his successor and the French coach has agreed a three-year deal and is already planning on the recruitment front.
