Crystal Palace have confirmed Pierre Sage’s backroom staff, with Jamal Alioui appointed assistant manager at Selhurst Park.
Alioui joins alongside Damien Della Santa and Sandy Guichard, completing the trio of new staff members expected to follow Sage to south London.
Palace announced the appointments on Friday, with Sage’s first pre-season now underway. The Evening Standard has also reported the confirmed staff changes.
ReadCrystalPalace looked at Sage’s planned backroom team in June, with Alioui, Della Santa and Guichard all named as likely arrivals.
Alioui worked with Sage at Lyon and Lens. The former Morocco international right-back will now serve as assistant manager at Palace.
McCarthy And Quy Stay On
There is continuity inside the new staff too.
Paddy McCarthy remains as assistant coach after a long association with Palace as a player and coach. Andy Quy also continues as goalkeeping coach.
ReadCrystalPalace previously covered why McCarthy and Quy staying on would help Sage settle quickly, and both men now form part of the confirmed setup.
Della Santa arrives as player development and set-piece coach, while Guichard becomes fitness coach after seven years in the same role at Monaco.
The new staff will get their first match-day run-out when Palace face Bromley in a friendly on Saturday 25 July. The Como Cup and a trip to Freiburg follow before a 2026/27 season that includes Europa League football.
For Sage, the structure around him is now clear. The next step is turning that staff mix into a working pre-season plan.
