Crystal Palace reject £50m Liverpool bid for Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace have rejected a £50 million offer from Liverpool for Ismaila Sarr, with the Eagles making it clear they have no intention of selling the winger this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Palace have already turned down the proposal as Liverpool search for an attacking option before the transfer window closes. The Reds have also seen bids for other targets fall through, leaving Sarr firmly on their radar as the transfer window comes to end.

For Palace, though, Sarr is not for sale.

Crystal Palace stand firm on Ismaila Sarr

The 28-year-old remains under contract for another three years and Palace are determined to keep hold of one of their key players.

Sarr enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, scoring 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. He was also instrumental in Palace’s UEFA Conference League triumph, scoring nine times in the competition and collecting both the top-scorer and best-player awards.

Liverpool’s interest is nothing new. The club first tracked Sarr in 2020 when he was still at Watford, before ultimately signing Diogo Jota instead.

Sarr is believed to be keen on a move to Anfield, while Palace have also rejected approaches from Galatasaray.

Palace boss Pierre Sage also acknowledged the difficulty of dealing with transfer speculation but insisted Sarr is still part of his squad.

Sarr missed the opening-day defeat at Everton. While reports suggested he was refusing to train, it is understood that he is currently injured.

Liverpool could yet return with an improved offer, but Palace’s position appears clear. With the deadline approaching, the Eagles are standing firm over Ismaila Sarr, considering him off-limits.
