Liverpool have reportedly made a £50 million offer for Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr after ending their pursuit of Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh.
The Reds saw two bids rejected for Minteh, with Brighton standing firm on their £70m valuation. Liverpool have now turned their attention to Sarr, who is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield.
Liverpool supporters won’t need reminding of the winger’s threat. Sarr scored four times against Liverpool last season, including twice at Anfield in the Carabao Cup and once in the Community Shield.
Ismaila Sarr had a stellar 2025/26 season
Ismaila Sarr joined Palace from Watford two years ago for £12.5m and signed a five-year contract. Since then, his value has climbed considerably.
He enjoyed an excellent 2025/26 campaign, scoring 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions and helping Palace lift the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Senegal international also impressed at the World Cup this summer, scoring four goals before Senegal were eliminated by Belgium in the round of 32.
Liverpool’s interest isn’t entirely new either. The club were tracking Sarr as far back as 2020, when he was still at Watford, before ultimately choosing to sign Diogo Jota.
Now, they have returned with a major offer.
Ismaila Sarr is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal and Turkish giants Galatasaray. Crystal Palace are keen on keeping Sarr but the winger is keen on a move to Anfield.
Liverpool remain in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Bradley Barcola as well, but their interest in Sarr is understood to be separate.
