After the recent death of his father, Yannick Bolasie has told Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew that he is ready to be included to the Crystal Palace set up.
Bolasie wasn’t included in the squad for last weekend’s home win against Aston Villa on compassionate grounds, as he was travelling back to DR Congo to be with his family.
But since then, Bolasie has returned to London in a “good frame of mind” According to boss Alan Pardew. Despite a difficult few weeks for Bolasie, he appears to be keen to get in on the action against champions Chelsea at the weekend.
This will be the first time that Bolasie’s father hasn’t attended a match, as he followed his son to every match home and away last season.
Despite the good news on Yannick’s return, Pardew has since confirmed Mile Jedinak won’t be available this weekend as he is recovering from a slight hamstring injury after limping off against Shrewsbury.
Julian Speroni has also returned to full fitness after a hand injury, but it is likely that Alex McCarthy will be between the sticks once again.
