Mile Jedinak still in Pardew’s plans

The Herald Sun are reporting that Mile Jedinak still has a big part to play for Crystal Palace this season.

Ahead of their match versus Manchester City, who haven’t conceded a goal this season and have a 100% record, Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has backed Jedinak to play a role in his Palace side this campaign.

Australian international Jedinak has been a Palace regular in recent years, however, he has been out of the frame this season and was due to leave to join Stoke City last month, only for the deal to break down late into the negotiations towards the end of the transfer window.

Jedinak didn’t leave and Alan Pardew has said that he is back fit from injury again and ready to return in contention for the Crystal Palace squad and try and get his place back into the side.

Pardew had this to say about Jedinak’s situation:“Mile is a massive character and player for this football club,”

“He’s a first-team player who’s not playing so I think it’s only fair to him that we’re honest when bids come in to give him the option.

“There was a bid accepted by the board here out of respect really, whether it was right for Mile and that decision to stay was made by Mile and we’re happy with that.”
