Crystal Palace are set to bid for Jonjo Shelvey, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The Swansea star is valued at around £10million by chairman Huw Jenkins, despite being criticised internally for a perceived lack of effort in both training and matches.
The England star was substituted off after just 56 minutes against Palace by caretaker boss Alan Curtis, having being reinstated to the side since Garry Monk’s departure from the Swans.
Shelvey is keen to leave the Liberty stadium, with his focus solely on playing enough games to make the Euro 2016 squad this summer, which is seemingly impossible with a strenuous relationship with the Swans hierarchy.
Shelvey and Pardew have worked together previously at Charlton Athletic and the Palace boss is thought to believe he could inspire the Englishman to rediscover his form which impressed so many.
Shelvey has scored 10 times in 79 games for the Welsh side since moving from Liverpool and has gained plenty of plaudits since making the switch from Merseyside.
