Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has spoken about the improved performances of his teammate Wilfried Zaha after the winger grabbed the winning goal in the Eagles’ FA Cup third round victory over fellow Premier League side Southampton.
Oriol Romeu’s strike had cancelled out Joel Ward’s winner and there was a real possibility of the tight encounter ending as a draw, but Zaha’s finish with around 20 minutes to go was enough to send Alan Pardew’s men into the fourth round.
Speaking to Richard Cawley of the South London Press, Dann says that Zaha’s teammates are delighted to see the England international starting to get himself on the scoresheet more regularly.
We were all delighted for him to get the winner. He has shown this season, more than previously, that he can get on the end of things.

Zaha has already equalled his goals tally from last season in this campaign, and with plenty more games to come, he could go on to score plenty more, something which Dann says he is more than capable of doing.
Rather than just being one of the creators for the team, he can score more goals. That is four for him now this season. So he should set himself a target of getting some more goals under his belt. Because this season he has played really well.
Zaha is one of Palace’s most dangerous players and Dann said that the 23-year-old is a threat from anywhere on the pitch.
There are not many games that he has not put in good performances. He is a threat. Any time he gets the ball, whether it is in our half or in the opposition half, you think something is going to happen.
