Premier League side show interest in Palace striker

According to reports in the Croydon Advertiser , fellow Premier League side Norwich City have expressed interest in Crystal Palace striker, Dwight Gayle.

The former Peterborough United striker is currently nursing a hamstirng injury that has ruled him out of Alan Pardew’s squad for the past month, but is set to return in the next two weeks.

Palace, who have struggled with goals in recent games, will be reluctant to let Gayle depart, particularly to another top-flight side following Glenn Murray’s move to AFC Bournemouth in the summer.

However, Pardew has admitted that the club are looking for a proven goalscorer to join the South London side in this January transfer window, and may allow the Englishman to leave Selhurst Park should someone come in first.

The Eagles have been linked with a numerous amount of forwards, including Emmanuel Adebayor who has been released by Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham’s Moussa Dembele and Simeone Zaza from the Serie A.
