An article by the Croydon Advertiser reports that according to Shrewsbury Town boss Micky Mellon, Crystal Palace’s 20-year-old attacking midfielder Sullay Kaikai ‘should be in the England U21’ squad. Kaikai currently is on loan with Mellon’s League One side.

According to Scottish manager, he can’t understand why the Crystal Palace loanee hasn’t been called up to the U21 side.
Tell me who’s better than him in that U21 team? Look at the qualities he has. A young English talent who can score the kind of goals he has for us for so long now. He’s exciting for the fans and he makes back fours bend with his pace, trickery, directness and his desire to score. And he works his socks off. He comes with Premier League standards because that’s what he’s used to, and it rubs off on everyone else.
Kaikai kicked off his professional career when he was fifteen with Crystal Palace. On February 7, 2014, the attacking midfielder joined League One side Crawley Town, where he made 5 appearances. Kaikai made his senior debut on the 25th when he came on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against Swindon Town.

On September 24, 2014, Kaikai made his Crystal Palace senior debut in the third round of the League Cup against Newcastle United, where the Eagles lost 2-3. A month later, Kaikai was loaned out to League Two club Cambridge United, where he made 25 appearances, accumulating a total of five goals.
Following his successful 2014-2015 campaign. Kaikai made the move to League One side Shrewsbury, where the 20-year-old has made an impressive case for the national team and his parent club. With recognition coming from head boss Micky Mellon, Kaikai could be making a senior debut for Palace sometime soon.
