Crystal Palace target Jack Clarke could be the subject of a £12 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur in the near future, according to reports.

The Eagles have been linked with a move to recruit the promising winger from Leeds United after he enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at Elland Road.

Clarke turned in some exciting performances out wide but could not help steer Marcelo Bielsa’s side to promotion, as they fell short to Derby County in the semi-finals of the play-offs.

Nevertheless, the heads of Premier League clubs have been turned by the 18-year-old’s clear potential, and according to claims from The Daily Mail, Tottenham are ready to make a £12m move to sign the player.

Palace could be out to add quality to their attacking ranks this summer, and Clarke appeared to have been among their possible transfer targets.

However, if they are to lure the Leeds youngster to South London, it seems they will need to put up a fight and fend off competition from Spurs.
