Crystal Palace are reportedly in the hunt to sign Lucas Verissimo from Santos this summer.
The Eagles appear to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, and according to claims from Brazilian news outlet Futebol Interior, they are in the hunt for the 23-year-old.
Verissimo seems to be a man in demand, with Palace not alone in their interest in recruiting him. The report states that Serie A side Torino are keen, while French giants Torino have also entered the race.
The defender has emerged as an important player for Santos in recent times, and the Brazilian club are understood to be reluctant to lose him in the current transfer window.
However, should an offer worth €8 million come in – the figure at which his release clause is set – they may face trouble retaining his services.
Palace will be keen to add to their squad ahead of next season as Roy Hodgson aims to lead his men to a successful campaign.
